Gerald Hammon - Owner/Principal Broker

I hail from the south side of Eightmile Creek in Greene County just south of Paragould, Arkansas. My family all still reside in this growing farming community on Crowley's Ridge. It took 18 years to get off the family farm and I understand it would take no less than a million dollars to get back on.

Most of my career was spent in Corporate America in the communications field with AT&T, Nortel Networks and Walt Disney Corporation. I elected to take early retirement at 45 years of age and my family and I were finally able to move to the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. The Real Estate Industry was a natural choice of vocations for me so we decided to plant permanent roots in the Ozarks and enter the field of professional Real Estate Sales. I had been fairly practiced in buying and selling Real Estate for years but not licensed so I became a licensed Sales Professional and have been blessed to have received the highest sales award presented by the Arkansas Realtors Association, the Diamond Sales Award for multiple years.  I have also received the highest sales award than any other Marion County based Realtor for the last 5 years.
After a number of years, the decision was made to open my own Real Estate Brokerage company in Flippin and I am proud to say we always strive to provide top level professional, honest and ethical service to our clients.

I  served as the 2009 President of the Board of Realtors and have served in various officer and board positions in the past. I have also served a number of years on the Arkansas Realtors Association Legislative committee as well as the Professional Standards Committee in Little Rock.

    I am a “True Arkansan” having been born and raised in the Arkansas Ozarks. I am married to Diane, who is an employee of the Flippin School System, and we have 5 children. Dustin, the youngest, is a sophomore at Flippin High School.
I bring a lot of knowledge about the local population and area to our company which compliments our existing staff. I have always been actively involved with the community and actually coached my son in soccer during his high school years. I am a native of Marion County and joined Gerald Hammon Realty in April 2010 as a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson and also as a Licensed Auctioneer. I bring with me a tremendous amount of experience in Real Estate investment, Commercial Agriculture Equipment Sales, Commercial Rental business, Auction Services as well as beef cattle production.
My wife, Valerie, and I live on a cattle farm west of Yellville with our 11 year old son, Dalton, who attends Yellville-Summit school. Valerie has been employed at the Yellville branch of the Bank of the Ozarks for 10 years. Beside the family farm, we also own and operate the Panther Den Storage and the Double D Auction Services. I am a member of the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association, a Board Member of Marion County Farm Bureau and a member of the Bruno Fire Department.  I have bought and sold real estate most of my adult life and know just about every square mile of Marion County and a great number of the people in the area. I also worked in Farm Equipment sales in Baxter County and Harrison.
